Házikó Farm Ltd. (launched in 2014) is a social enterprise, operating along clear social and environmental principles on commercial basis. The target of the project is to enhance the market participation of innovative small-scale farms and agricultural enterprises, while also providing city consumers with top quality, healthy, fresh food. The produce of small-scale farmers is selected on the basis of strict quality assurance criteria developed by Házikó, processed in its Budapest workshop, and delivered as fresh foods directly to conscious city consumers. Place of origin of each ingredient (ie. the actual farm) is indicated for all products. Furthermore, the complete chain of processing, packaging and delivery is absolutely transparent and environmentally friendly. ‘Házikó reconnects the city and the countryside. We steam, roll, preserve, bake, package and deliver choice country produce in our production facility in downtown Budapest. Much attention is paid to small-scale farmers, from whom we obtain all the delicious, seasonal ingredients directly.
